the Coaches

Adrian has given over 20 years to develop his skills as a Director and Head Coach in swimming and has had success in all areas.  He has had swimmers represent countries and medal internationally in many major events e.g. FINA World Circuits, European LEN Cups, Cana Africa Games, Youth Africa Games, Deaf Olympics Taipei, and Special Olympics Atlanta, not only in the pool but also Open Water Circuits.

Adrian has also held international training camps, working with many of the world’s top swimmers, some of whom represented their countries at the Commonwealth Games and European Championships.

Through all of the years he has developed sound programs that have produced many Junior and senior national swimmers and also International swimmers.

Ian has been a coach for a number of years and has coached regional and national training camps as well as mixed squads at club level.  He remains committed at giving swimmers the best chance possible in their swimming careers. Ian is a Senior England Swimming Coach.

In addition to coaching, Jack is also a Competitive Swimmer, Swim Teacher and Lifeguard.  Jack is passionate about swimming and he loves nothing more than to see swimmers improve, whatever level of training they are currently at.  He is a firm believer that it’s all about progress and personal bests, to be the best you can be and never give up!

Swimming has always been close to my heart, I still compete as a master at County and Regional events and enjoy all aspects of teaching and coaching the next generation of swimmers. I have taught for Harlow Penguins Swim School for many years and believe that every child needs to learn to swim as it is such an important life skill. In recent years I have become more involved in the club as my children also compete. I have qualified as a Swim Coach and joined the coaching team as well as joining the committee as the Membership Sectary. I enjoy working with all the swimmers young and old and want to encourage them to achieve the best they can and to show that swimming can be a lifelong activity.

Rachel is one of our competitive Masters swimmers, with success at County and Regional level.

Rachel has previously volunteered for Penguins at committee level with a focus on Child Safeguarding.

Rachel teaches in Swim School and at Academy level.
