Kara Hanlon Visit

Thanks so much to Kara Hanlon for coming to IASC on Wednesday 2nd October and giving two inputs to our swimmers.

What an amazing inspiration and our swimmers had the best time. Kara had an amazing story to tell about her swimming journey and she is currently the British 200m Breaststroke Champion as well as holding the Scottish Records for 50m/100m Breaststroke SC/LC. Lots of training for our swimmers now!! 

Some fantastic questions for Kara. Both groups had really thought about what they wanted to ask. The biggest surprise for our swimmers was Kara going into the water to do a demonstration and our swimmers were just in awe (as were the coaches!)
Our Stars were also awarded their medals by Kara - Well done all of you. 

It was so good and an experience many of our swimmers won’t forget. Kara spent the rest of the night with our swimmers speaking to them and signing lots of autographs. The swimmers were starstruck.
