Congratulations to our Team Purple Swimmers of Caitlin, Felix, Tyla, Dougal, Katelin and Freya who braved the weather and took part at the Scottish Schools Long Course National Championships 2025 today. Some fantastic swims, PB’S and medals too. Amazing achievement getting times and qualifications for this event. What a fantastic awards night last Friday at the Rugby Club. Unfortunately due to the weather and other sporting events some of our swimmers could not make it but there was lots of great dancing, games and fun. The games as always were very competitive. Last night saw the Final Wednesday Club Night of 2024. There was certainly fun, music, some Christmas Swim Caps, Christmas Hats and t-shirts and a few smiles from some getting their Selection Packet. Unfortunately a few of our swimmers had Christmas Parties but sure the selection boxes will make their way to them.

The Annual Club Awards and Party Night will take place on Friday 10th January 2025 at Canal Park Rugby Club at 1900hrs. This is a great night for swimmers and families to get together celebrate successes and have a bit of fun, dance and a few games. Thanks to everyone who helped to raise money for Matthew McCreadie who recently attended the GB Down Syndrome Championships. The club raised an amazing £1250 from the Nintendo Switch Raffle and the Spooky Mini Meet Fundraising. Matthew had huge success at the meet winning a number of Age Group Medals as well as a Silver National Medal. The fundraising will help the family with travel and training costs as he continues on his very successful GB Journey. Everyone's kindness and enthusiasm has been overwhelming.
