Croydon Amphibians Masters are a friendly and sociable group with over forty members. Many of our swimmers compete in Masters' competitions or triathlons, others swim to improve their fitness level, so our sessions are organised accordingly. Unfortunately our sessions are not suitable for beginners, but age is no barrier provided you are over 18.
We currently train four nights a week in a variety of pools in and around the Croydon area. We have aimed to make the structure of the Masters' section as flexible as possible as we appreciate that many of our members have other commitments outside of the club. Simply decide how many sessions a week you would like to swim and come on whichever evening suits you best, even though this may vary from week to week. Our fees are structured accordingly.

Competitive Swimming
Croydon Amphibian Masters have a great number of swimmers that compete regularly at galas and swim meets up and down the country as well internationally. The big meet of the year is the Surrey Masters. This is the official Surrey Championship, that is well organised and a fantastic opportunity for everyone to swim as a team. We have been very successful at this event and have lifted the trophy on a number of occasions as overall winners.

Adult Welfare & Safeguarding
Croydon Amphibians Swimming Club (CASC) is committed to the safety and welfare of all adult swimmers and water polo players and, as a club affiliated to Swim England, has adopted and abides by Swim England's Safeguarding Policy and Procedures for Clubs Wavepower 2024.
Wavepower is intended for anyone involved in these activities and offers practical guidance and information on mandatory requirements and good practice. Wavepower was revised in 2024. Two changes we would like to emphasise were firstly to support Adults at risk. Secondly the use of mobile phones or similar devices in changing areas is now prohibited during CASC activities, except in a few specific circumstances.
Ensuring every adult person associated with the club's safety is a key part of how our club operates. It helps to provide a safe, happy and fun environment where adults can develop their skills and achieve their potential.
The responsibility for safeguarding does not belong to any one person. Instead it belongs to everyone who plays a part in delivering our sporting activities, however at times we recognise that issues might need escalating. In the first instance any issues should be raised with the coach or team manager who is present at the time the concern is raised. For Masters, the current officials are show here in the Masters section. If the concern is related to these people or any issue arises outside of the CASC environment, then the club's Welfare Officer can be contacted at [email protected]
We will advise you as to action to be taken and if necessary refer the matter to the statutory agencies or the Swim England Safeguarding Team.
Should a person be at risk of immediate harm and have been harmed, please contact the Police on 999.
Urgent concerns that require immediate attention can be reported to Croydon Adult Support via telephone using 020 8726 6500. If reporting out of office hours ask for the Duty Social Worker. Non-urgent concerns can be raised through the online Contact Referral Form or via email to [email protected]
Another avenue for reporting, if you do not wish to approach the club directly, is to contact the Swim England Safeguarding & Welfare Team on 01509 640700 (Option 1 for Swim England then Option 3 for safeguarding) or at [email protected]. The Safeguarding & Welfare team will be able to provide advice even if you are not making a referral or are unsure whether to do so.
