British & English Nationals HUGE Success for TSC!!!

Out team of five Teddington swimmers, Issac Zawada (Captain), Tommy Evans, Billy Bainbridge, Ava Holt and Phoebe Chadwick, had huge success in the Summer Nationals that took place in Sheffield Ponds Forge this summer. Only the top 24 in each age group were invited to the competition so it was a huge achievement just to qualify. 

In the British Championships each of them achieved at least one top 20 finish in their respective events, with Isaac and Tommy both finishing in the top 10 by reaching the final in two of their events! Isaac finished in 7th place in the country in the 100 breaststroke and Tommy was 7th in the 800 freestyle. 

After a break for the Commonwealth Games, the English Championships began in August and Phoebe, Tommy and Billy returned to Sheffield where Phoebe and Tommy both became national champions! 

Phoebe won gold in the 200 freestyle, along with a 4th place in the 800 freestyle and Tommy won gold in the 1500 freestyle, as well as taking a silver in the 200 freestyle.
