Gala Report SAST "Murdoch's" Mini Meet Sunday 22nd January 2023 We had 20 of our younger swimmers ranging from SwimSTARS, Potential, Age Group and Junior Performance squads all attend the meet at the Citadel in Ayr. For many of them this was their first time back racing since before the festive break and it was a great meet to start off 2023. The swimmers engaged very well with their process goal setting, with all the swimmers having goals in place before attending the meet. This was useful as it allowed...

14 year old Fraser Cowie was our sole representative at this meet, choosing 4 races on the Sunday of the meet. This was the first time Fraser had stayed away from home before a meet so was great experience for him. His first race was the 200m IM where his goal was to swim his breaststroke split faster than he did at SNAGS and in managing this, he also qualified for the 14/15 years final. Fraser then managed personal bests in his next 2 races, 100m freestyle and 200m backstroke....

For many of our swimmers, this was their first opportunity racing at this level and their swims did not disappoint. After the 5 days of racing, North Ayrshire swimmers came home with 5...

A huge well done to all our North Ayrshire swimmers who were competing at the first round of the West District Short Course Championships at Tollcross on 5/6 February. Over the course of the full weekend our swimmers brought home 8 golds, 5 silvers and 7 bronze medals. We also had an incredible 47 top 10 finishes. At West District Championship events they have team points and if swimmers finish in the top 6 in their event, they contribute towards these. At the end of the Sunday afternoon session, we...
