On 8th March 2023, Swim England launched their Heart of Aquatics - their new Safeguarding, Welfare and Culture Plan.  They note that:

'This plan will create a better future for everyone in our sports. It's part of a cultural change journey which will put members, coaches, teachers, parents, clubs and swim schools at the heart of aquatics.   We will engage independent experts to listen to the aquatics community so that we capture an honest, thorough reflection of the culture within aquatics now and previously.  We recognise we must continuously strive to improve in order to foster a positive culture and deliver for the people who are the lifeblood of our aquatic sports. To make sure this happens, we will need the support of our clubs, coaches and members.'
