Team Bath AS para-swimmer Nancy Jubb has been named Somerset ASA Swimmer of the Year 2025, following a remarkable season that has seen her break multiple British records, achieve national success, and earn selection for a prestigious national talent programme — all while balancing the demands of her GCSE studies.

The award was presented during the Somerset ASA Annual General Meeting, held at the University of Bath, in recognition of Nancy’s exceptional performances since joining the Club less than a year ago. Her achievements over the past 12 months include:

  • Breaking the British Short Course Record in the Women’s S5 50m Backstroke at the Aquatics GB Para-Swimming Winter National Meet in Birmingham

  • Winning silver in the Women’s S5 50m Freestyle at the GoCardless Swim England National Winter Championships in Sheffield

  • Setting a new British Long Course Record in the 200m Individual Medley at the Somerset ASA County Championships 2025, alongside new Regional and County Records

  • Securing B Final finishes at the Aquatics GB Summer Championships 2025 in London

  • Selection for the National Para Bespoke Talent Programme, training alongside elite para swimmers from across the country

To mark the occasion, Nancy was also presented with a commemorative trophy from Interim Team Bath AS Chair, Tim Babbage, on behalf of the Club.

Nancy’s coaches, Liam and Kay Willcox, were formally recognised for their contribution to her success. They each received a special award from the Team Bath AS Committee for coaching a British Record holder — an exceptional milestone and a proud moment for the coaching team.

Team Bath AS would also like to express sincere thanks to Holman UK and Holman HQ for their continued and generous support of the Club’s para-swimming programme, which continues to grow in strength and reach.

On behalf of everyone at Team Bath AS, congratulations to Nancy, Liam, and Kay on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to following Nancy’s continued journey in the sport.
