Liam Willcox
Head of Swimming
Liam is the driving force behind our club's swimming program, guiding the development of swimmers at all levels, from lower squads to elite Performance Swimming. A Level 3 coach, he possesses a diverse skill set that goes beyond traditional coaching. He has made significant contributions as a para-swimming coach, working with athletes of varying abilities, and his involvement with Swim England Talent Programmes, from County to National levels, has further cemented his reputation in the swimming community.
Liam's dedication is evident in his participation in prestigious events such as the British Swimming Championships, Comic Relief, and the Invictus Games, reflecting his commitment to supporting and promoting the swimming community.
Kay Willcox
Lead Coach
Kay was the heart of Norton Radstock Swimming Club for over 18 years as head coach, working with junior swimmers up to age 18. In 2021, she joined Team Bath AS as a Level 2 coach.
Now, Kay supports our Academy swimmers with competitive swimming drills, skills, and techniques, preparing them for training and swim meets. With extensive paralympic experience, she also trains our junior para swimmers.
As a qualified Judge Level 2, Kay excels in various aspects of judging, and officiating events at club, county, regional, and national levels. Her expertise extends to international competitions such as the European Masters Aquatics Championships, World Para Athletics Championships, and the Invictus Games.
Myah Swart
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Myah is a second-year psychology student at the University of Bath and a qualified Swim England Assistant Coach with over five years of experience in swimming instruction and athlete development. During her time with Bude Sharks, she progressed from volunteer to certified coach, delivering innovative and inclusive training sessions while fostering a safe, supportive environment for swimmers.
She has completed several Swim England qualifications, including Child Safeguarding and Foundations of Inclusivity, and is DBS certified. Passionate about sports, Myah has recently achieved her Swim England Level 2 Coaching qualification and aims to compete in the Cornwall County Swimming Championships in 2025.

Maddy Langley
Assistant Coach
Maddy is a Psychology student at the University of Bath with a background as a former national-level swimmer. She now coaches at Team Bath AS, blending her athletic and academic interests to explore what motivates individuals to reach their goals.
As a qualified Swim England coach, Maddy applies her psychological knowledge to observe how children learn and develop in the water. She has a deep passion for helping swimmers grow and cultivate a love for the sport.
Richard Nicholls
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Richard is a highly skilled personal trainer, sports therapist, and massage therapist with 20 years of experience. Having worked with elite athletes across various fitness disciplines, Rich leverages his sports therapy expertise to aid swimmers in injury prevention and performance optimisation. His broad experience allows him to understand the unique physical demands of swimming, making him an essential resource for optimising swimmer performance at Team Bath AS.
