The City of Bristol Network
As a Swim England supported Performance Programme, the City of Bristol Aquatics offers pathways to Performance swimming for it's Network Club members.
Pathways into the CoB Aquatics structure are bespoke for each club within the Network. We work closely with our Network clubs to ensure we offer the appropriate development for each individual offered a place in our training squads.
Swimmers will usually come to us via a recommendation from their home club (Network Pathway Club) coach. Our criteria is different for each club within the Network depending on the swimmers progression within their club and how many hours are able to be offered by the home club.
Swimmers usually join CoB for 1-2 sessions per week initially. This assists swimmers to further develop their techniques and swimming fitness by attending additional sessions to those already offered by their home club.
Swimmers will then progress to being offered a full time place in a CoB training squads if this is the most appropriate pathway for their development.
In addition, for our Network Clubs we aim to offer regular coaching CPD's across the season to support coach and swimmer development on a wider scale.
If you'd like to be considered for a place in our Network programme please speak to your home club coach in the first instance, who will recommend you to our Network Programme Lead Coach, Marc Williams.

Club Representation
All part time swimmers will continue to compete for their home clubs.
All full time swimmers will continue to represent their home clubs for County Championships and Arena League Galas and will represent CoB for all other competitions. Some full time swimmers may be asked to compete for CoB in the Arena League Galas; this will be on a year by year basis and only if the swimmer would gain an opportunity by doing so. This would also be agreed by the swimmers home club coach in advance.
Fees
Swimmers attending one session per week will be charged £20/month (see: City of Bristol Aquatics - Top Up Sessions / Beacon Programme for dates).
Swimmers attending two sessions per week will be charged £30/month.
Additional sessions will be charged as a percentage of the squad fee that the swimmer is training in.
Full time swimmers will pay CoB squad fees, and may need to pay their annual membership to their home clubs in addition to any training fees charged by them for attending sessions as required.
