Sutton & Cheam Swimming Club welcomes girls and boys of all ages
Sutton & Cheam Swimming Club is a friendly, affordable, competitive club catering for girls and boys aged 4+ from beginners to competitive swimmers.
We are a very open club with about 500 swimming and water polo members aged from 4 to 70+.
All our coaches are Swim England qualified, DBS-checked and trained in Safeguarding and Protecting Children. All the club's activities are covered under the Swim England Insurance Scheme.
Sutton and Cheam Swimming Club is also recognised as one of the leading clubs in British water polo.
The club is very proud of its heritage as a founder member of both the National Water Polo League (now the British Water Polo League) in 1962; and the National Speedo League (now the National Arena Swimming League) in 1964. The club has also had members at 12 of the post war Olympic Games, competing at both swimming and water polo.
Sutton & Cheam is both "SwimMark" and "ClubMark" accredited.
"SwimMark" Club Essential Accreditation is a 'Quality mark', specifically designed for all Swim England clubs, which recognises nationally and regionally the clubs that are committed to providing safe, effective and quality services for the benefit of their members.
"Clubmark" is Sport England’s cross-sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections; and signifies the Club’s commitment to being a safe, effective and child-friendly sports club.
