Sutton and Cheam Swimming Club is a highly competitive team that consistently excels at the national level. Our athletes, ranging from ages 7 to 18 and beyond, showcase a remarkable dedication to the sport. Through rigorous training, they have honed their skills in various swimming disciplines, from freestyle to butterfly strokes, mastering techniques that set them apart on the national stage. Our club's commitment to nurturing talent, combined with the passion and hard work of our swimmers, has propelled us to compete and excel at the highest levels.

Top Squad

Head coach - Stuart Donald

Squad details:

  • Minimum expected weekly training: 6 sessions + 1 land training session
  • Minimum of 1 county and regional time in multiple strokes
  • The potential to acheive a National qualification time
  • Based on Performance, Attendance, Attitude and mindset
  • Willingness to compete on behalf of the club in League and open gala

Equipment needed: Kickboard, Pullbouy, Fins, finger paddles, Snorkels, Water bottle

Performance Squad

Coach - Araceli Cruz O'Dwyer

Squad details:

  • Minimum expected weekly training: 4 sessions + 1 land training session
  • Minimum of 1 county  in multiple strokes
  • The potential to acheive a Regional qualification time
  • Based on Performance, Attendance, Attitude and mindset
  • Willingness to compete on behalf of the club in League and open galas
  • minimum age of 13 Years. 

Equipment needed: Kickboard, Pullbouy, Fins, finger paddles, Snorkels, Water bottle

  • The potential to acheive a county qualification time

  • Willingness to compete on behalf of the club in League and open galas
  • minimum age of 9 Years. 
  • Having the potential and desire to progress further in the sport

  • Aimed for swimmers newly getting into the side of competitive swimming
  • Based on potential and performance
  • looking to compete in their first gala on behalf of the club 
  • minimum age of 7 Years.
