Ellie and Aidan at Olympic Trials 2024

Last week, at the GB Championships, which also served as the Olympic trials for this year's swimming team, our very own Ellie and Aidan made our club proud by qualifying for this prestigious event. Our Swimming Captain's remarkable feat is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport.

Aidan Qualified for 3 events: 200m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke and 200m Backstroke which is a tall order in which he gained even more experience at such a high event. 

Ellie qualified for 50m Freestyle and achieved a personal milestone by swimming 26.91 marking her first time achieving under 27 seconds. 

Their exceptional performances not only reflect their individual skills but also serve as an inspiration for the future generation of swimmers in our club.  Ellie and Aidan's success sets a high standard for aspiring swimmers like Ben, who had the opportunity to witness our club captains competing alongside professional athletes at the trials. Their achievements motivate and inspire others to strive for excellence in the sport of swimming.
