Who Are We?

We are Bourne End Swimming Club - a part of the Bourne End Junior Sports Club who provide the opportunity for people to participate in a wide range of sports. We are a key swimming provider in the area with swimming lessons in Marlow and over 100 swimmers in our Competitive Swimming section who train at Wycombe Leisure Centre.
 

Teaching Programme

Our teaching follows the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) guidelines and allows our swimmers to attain the skills required to swim front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke in a gradual and progressive manner. Our aim is to prepare the swimmers for an introduction into the Competitive Swimming section where they will then continue to improve their strokes whilst introducing competitive skills. Our swimming lessons also introduce butterfly but this is mostly taught at the Competitive Club once the swimmers have developed a little more strength in the water.

Where We Teach

Our swimming lessons are held at the Court Garden Leisure Complex in Marlow. We swim in a 15m pool which is well suited to swimmers who are developing their strokes.
