BBATT Long Distance Meet 2024

A small team of six swimmers from Bourne End took part in the BBATT Long Distance meet at Aquavale on Sunday, competing in either 400 IM or 400 Freestyle.

Jacob Cooke and Hollie Roberts had strong swims in the 400 IM – both of them swimming the event for the first time. One of the toughest swimming events, the 400 IM is no easy task and they both did a fantastic job.

In the 400 Freestyle, Sebastian Hawkins and Alice Roberts were competing for the first time over the distance and put in solid swims to record great times for the event. Megan Whitbread and Simon Arnold also had really strong swims - both improving on their personal best times.

Well done to all the swimmers, and congratulations to Hollie and Sebastian who came away with gold medals for their efforts.
