British Summer (Aquatics GB) Championships 2024
Ethan Collins showcased his talent and hard work at the 2024 British Summer Championships held July in Sheffield. Competing against the best swimmers in the country, Ethan's amazing performance, capped off an already remarkable season for the Sharks.
Ethan qualified for five challenging events: the 50m, 100m, and 200m Butterfly, as well as the 50m and 100m Backstroke. Qualifying for these events at such a prestigious meet was a significant achievement for Ethan. His performances were highlighted by three new personal bests.
A proud moment came during the 100m Butterfly, where Ethan broke the elusive minute barrier for the first time, shaving over a second off his previous PB—a major milestone in his swimming career. In the 50m Backstroke, Ethan delivered another strong PB swim, narrowly missing out on a spot in the final by just 0.02 seconds, finishing in 11th place. His performance in the 200m Butterfly also saw him achieve a new PB.
Ethan's success at the British Summer Championships was a fitting end to an outstanding 2023/24 season for both him and the Sharks Swim Team. His journey to this point is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and resilience. Competing at this level is an incredible achievement, and Ethan did both himself and the club proud. Congratulations Ethan!

As we reflect on the success 2023/24, the Sharks celebrate their achievements and look forward to more of the same next season. Keep up that hard work!
