Last night at weekend 1 of our Time Trials we celebrated Terry Bream being awarded the East Midland Region Outstanding Contribution Award for services to swimming. Fellow Referee Andy Aitken presented Terry with his trophy. Terry has been involved in the sport of swimming for over 35 years and is still going strong! Congratiulations Bruce on being named Swim England Talent Athlete of the Year! In 2024 Bruce has won his first major medal at the European Championships in Madeira winning a in the SM6 200m IM and then went onto make his Paralympic debut at the Paris Paralympic Games where he finished 4th in the SM6 200m IM and 5th in the SB6 100m Breaststroke breaking 2 British records along the way!

Our Junior League A team has been in action today at the final of the 2024 Nuneaton and District Junior League final. Having transferred to the league for this season the team finished top at the league finals and have now gained promotion to division 1. There was a great atmosphere on poolside with lots of fast swimming and loud cheering Thank you to all the officials and helpers and well done to all swimmers and congratulations to Coach O’Rourke for leading the team!

Maisie Summers-Newton was in fanatatsic form at the Para World Series in Berlin as she broke her own SM6 world record that she set in 2021, at the Tokyo Games, by over a second and a half clocking an amazing 2:55.07. Well done Maisie!

This weekend Northampton Swimming Club Masters athletes have been in action at the Aquatics GB Masters Championships in Swansea Victoria Reading has broken multiple British and European Record winning 5 (Five) Gold medals! Ellen McDonald has dominated the middle distance and distance freestyle events winning 3 gold medals in the 400, 800 and 1500 Freestyle events.
