Team Waveney is a community swimming club with a big heart and a proud history. We were formed in 2020 when two well-loved local clubs—Beccles Kingfishers and Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Swimming Club—joined forces to create something even stronger together.

Although we merged in 2020 to become Team Waveney, our roots as individual clubs go back much, much further—with a long-standing tradition of local swimming and community spirit that we’re proud to continue today.

Since then, we’ve been all about helping swimmers reach their goals, whether that’s learning the basics, getting competition-ready, or just growing in confidence. Our coaching team is passionate about what they do, and we’re here to support every swimmer—no matter their age or ability.

We’re also supported by a fantastic committee of dedicated volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to keep the club running smoothly. Their commitment helps make Team Waveney the friendly, welcoming club it is.

But we’re not just about swimming. We’re about building a team where people feel welcome, encouraged, and inspired. We believe in hard work, having fun, and cheering each other on—both in and out of the pool.
