Masters Squad: What We're All About
The Masters Squad is open to all swimmers aged 18 and over. Whether you're returning to the sport, training for fitness, preparing for competition, or building towards triathlons, this squad provides a welcoming, flexible environment designed to meet a range of goals and experience levels — all within coach-led sessions that offer structure, support, and motivation.
Who is it for?
- Want to stay active and enjoy structured, coached swim training
- Are training for competitive swimming or open water events
- Are working towards triathlon performance
- Enjoy the social and mental health benefits of regular swimming
- Need flexible training that fits around work, family, or other commitments
What are the aims?
- Support personal goals — whether competitive, fitness-based, or lifestyle-driven
- Maintain and improve stroke technique, endurance, and speed
- Offer a motivating and inclusive team environment
- Enable lifelong participation in swimming and multisport activities
How do we achieve this?
- Coached sessions up to 4 times per week (see schedule below)
- Training that can be adjusted to suit personal targets
- Encouragement of individual ownership and goal setting
- Strong lane etiquette and positive group dynamics
- Sessions led by qualified coaches, with a focus on technique, endurance, and fitness

Morning Sessions
- Monday – Saint Felix-(5.45am-7-30am*)
- Tuesday – Waveney Valley, Bungay- (5:45am – 7:00am)
- Wednesday – Saint Felix- (5.45am-7-30am*)
- Thursday – Waveney Valley, Bungay- (5:45am – 7:00am)
- Friday – Waterlane, Lowestoft- (5:45am – 7:00am)
*Note, for Saint Felix morning sessions swimmers have flexibilty- you can swim from
05.45-7.00am, 6.30am-7.30am of the full 05.45-7.30am depending on travel and personal circumstances.
Evening Sessions:
- Monday – Saint Felix (8:00pm – 9:00pm)
- Wednesday – Waterlane, Lowestoft (7:00pm – 8:30pm)
- Thursday – Waveney Valley, Bungay (8:00pm – 9:00pm)
- Friday – Waveney Valley, Bungay (8:00pm – 9:00pm)
