#LeicestershirePerformancePathway

City of Leicester Swimming Club is the performance pathway for swimming in Leicestershire and was formed in 1978. We seek to develop talented swimmers who are looking to compete at regional, national and international level. Our aim is to allow every athlete to reach their individual goal, providing them with all the tools and knowledge they need to reach their potential. Our club continues to be successful, with many swimmers competing in the Midlands, Home Nation and British Nationals, as well as representing Leicestershire, East Midlands, Home Nations, British Swimming, Youth Olympic Squad and Team GB. They have also been record holders at a County, Regional, National, and European Junior and World Junior Level.

We work closely with the Leicestershire Amatuer Swimming Assoication and we are supported by local clubs across the county, with most clubs signing the Memorandum of Understanding. Our swimmers are encoruaged to keep strong links and return and compete for their home programmes at the Arena League, Winter League, Autumn League, Diddy League and at Leicestershire County Championships. At a Regional, National and Open Meets, swimmers represent the City of Leicester SC.

We have 8 out of the 11 LASA clubs signed up to this agreement which include:

We offer a progressive programme for all swimmers that are selected to be a part of it. Squad training hours start from just 4.5 hours a week and builds up to 17 hours a week during a swimmers time within the club. We promote a culture of hardwork and honesty in an environment that's fun and promotes learning and understanding of the sport of Swimming.
