Performance Swimming Coach (Part Time)
Contract Type: Fixed term as agreed, with opportunity for extension subject to satisfactory review
Qualifications: Coaching Swimming: Level 2 Award or Swimming Coach Certificate (level 1 and working towards level 2 would be considered)
Working hours: Part Time – 10.5-12 hours per week, with additional flexibility to provide cover and coaching cover at open meets
Location: Leicester
Salary: Competitive Salary negotiable at an hourly rate depending on experience

The Executive Officers and Head Coach of City of Leicester Swimming Club (CoLSC) are seeking to appoint an additional Swimming Coach to add to their already successful coaching team. This is a unique opportunity to join the elite swimming programme which coaches swimmers from the ages 10-18 across five squads, from county through to International Level.
City of Leicester Swimming Club is the nominated pathway for performance swimming within Leicestershire and has the full support of Leicestershire Amateur Swimming Association.
In recent years CoLSC has had swimmers selected for both European and World Junior teams and produced British Age Group Champions and Record holders. The club is fully committed to supporting its coaches’ development with the Head Coach completing the Swim England Coach 2024 programme and Youth Coaches completing the Swim England Coach Development programme (2018-2020).
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our outstanding coaching team led by Head Coach Jamie Evans who is keen to learn and develop in an outstanding age-group performance environment
Essential skills
- To have good time-management skills and be able to use time efficiently and effectively.
- To plan, execute and evaluate the training programme under the guidance of the Head Coach.
- Be able to liaise with the Head Coach regarding all matters relevant to the swimming programme
- Be swimmer focussed and able to provide positive and constructive feedback to all swimmers, creating a supportive environment where swimmers are fully engaged and motivated, whilst maintaining a professional relationship.
- Be flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to contributing towards the continuing success of the programme.
- Be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders- parents, Coaches, the Committee and other swimming professionals.
