Hitchin Swimming Club Life Members
The Club has the following life members:
| Grant Chivers | Grant was made a life member of the Club in January 2021 due to his dedication and leadership within the Club as well as the extended Swim England Community both is swimming and water polo over many years. Grant stepped away from goverenance within the Club in 2020, but continues to support the Club regularly coaching our next generation of swimmers as well as our senior squads. |
| Jean Cook | Jean is a life member of Hitchin Swimming Club in recognition of her support to both Hitchin Swimming Club and the world of aquatic sport in general. She is chair of Hertfordshire ASA and London Region. She has officiated in club, regional, national, and international events held in Great Britain. Jean was appointed Head of Administration in diving for the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, as well as serving on LEN Congress in 2004 |
| Tina Lander | Tina played a key role in the club, including coaching and being chair of the club. She was instrumental in establishing our warm weather training camp. She represented the club as Hertfordshire ASA team manager. She went on to be GB Team Manager for diving at the London 2012 Olympics. |
| Sheila Leach | Most swimmers in Hitchin have been taught to swim at some point by Sheila, and they all look back fondly at their swimming lessons with Sheila. Shelia for many years was one of the club's coaches focusing on our junior squad swimmers. |
