History

In 1949, the ESB Swimming Club was established as a recreational club for the employees of ESB Networks. ESB Swim Club still enjoys and values our strong links with ESB Group. The club is based in the SPORTSCO Complex in Dublin 4, which is home to our 300+ members.

ESB club swimmers have achieved considerable success at a national and international level, including Aisling Cooney who represented Ireland at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Many of our swimmers continue their careers as Teachers and Coaches, sharing their expertise with the younger members of the club.
