Atlantis Summer Splash
This weekend saw 47 swimmers head off to Horley for the Atlantis Swim Club Summer Splash. We were made to feel very welcome and had the perfect spot at the end of the pool for supporting every individual swimmer - it was amazing to see pretty much everybody up at the end of the lane cheering on every swimmer from the first to the last. The unity of our team is incredible and was lovely to see, and apart from being the best club it’s what sets us apart from others.
Out of 227 events we had 125 PBs - that’s an amazing 55% of every swim.
We achieved 18 Gold, 11 Silver, 12 Bronze medals and 52 place (4th-6th with ribbons going to 12 and under). Well done to Daisy on securing the most Fina points at Ojays and Tania on her first UK gala. Everyone swam very well indeed, overcame nerves and gave it their all - what a credit to the club you all are!
