Kent Masters Championships 2023

- Admin

Sunday 11th June saw two of our Masters swimmers, Max Peel and Ben Langdown, competing in the Kent Masters Championships at Medway Park in the Mens 18-24 category. It was fantastic to see both swimmers back in the pool doing what they do best and demonstrating that they are still performing right at the top of their game.

We are extremely proud to announce that we now have a new three times Masters County champion at the club in Max who secured the gold medals in 50m Backstroke (29.12s), 100m IM (1:16.55s) and 100m Backstroke (1.03.73s) where he smashed his personal best by -0.37 seconds. He also secured the silver medal in the 50m Fly with a time of 28.64s.

If that wasn’t enough success for one day Ben Langdown swam in the 50m Breast and 50m Freestyle and secured silver medals in both events with incredible times of 32.33s and 25.40s respectively, just pipping Max in both those events who also secured the Bronze medals.

What a fantastic achievement for both of our swimmers in their first attempt at the championships and demonstrating the depth and quality that we now have across all our competitive squads. Watch this space as we look forward to more of the same from the extremley talented swimmers we have in Masters going forward.

A massive congratulations to you both from everyone at the club!
