London Summer Championships 2024

The iconic London Aquatic Centre was the venue for this years London Summer Championships, spread over two weekends in April and May. We had twenty-one swimmers qualify for individual events and sent eleven relay teams.

Daisy had a fantastic championship retaining her 50m freestyle crown and taking the gold medal by 0.10 of a second.  Blythe also had a great championship winning two individual bronze medals in the girls 17+ 200m butterfly and 200m freestyle.  Well done to our finalists, Ellie L (200m freestyle), George (50m breaststroke), Hannah S (200m backstroke), Aaron (50m backstroke), Daisy (200m freestyle & 50m butterfly) and Blythe (200m backstroke, 100m freestyle  and 100m butterfly) and Samantha (100m breaststroke). In the distance events Ellie L finished 4^th in the girls 16 year old 800m freestyle and 6^th in the 400m freestyle.

Our relay teams had a great championship too. Our girls 17+ 4 x 100m medley relay team of Hannah S, Samantha, Blythe, and Sophia won a bronze medal. Grace, Lauren, Pheobe, and Tania finished 4^th in their 4 x 200m freestyle relay and 7^th in their 4 x 100m medley relay.
