Tudor Champions 2025
Tudor League Champions 2025
On Saturday 17th May, the team returned to The Spa for the fifth and final round of this year’s Tudor League, and what an fantastic night of racing it turned out to be. Fittingly, in the 50th year of both the Tudor League and Orpington Ojays, the evening was filled with drama, determination, and pride. The league standings shifted repeatedly throughout the night, keeping everyone on edge. At the halfway mark, we found ourselves in fourth place, but a powerful and determined performance in the second half saw us climb to finish the round in second place. The celebrations were made even more special as the trophy was presented to Tania by international swimmer and advocate Michael Gunning.
That strong finish earned us the final gala points we needed to secure the overall Tudor League for the second year in a row!

This victory is not just about those who raced on the final night, it’s a true team achievement. Every swimmer who competed in any of the five rounds, stretching all the way back to January, played a vital role in this success. In total, 44 swimmers took part in the league, each contributing to the team's overall performance. For some, the league was their first taste of competitive racing, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you for stepping up and giving it your all.
League winners' medals will be awarded to all swimmers who were part of the team and took part in the league.
The trophy and shield will also be brought to training for anyone who’d like to have a photo taken with them—details to follow.
