Kent Junior Meet Domination

 

Our younger swimmers absolutely dominated the Kent Junior Meet at Tunbridge Wells Leisure Centre this weekend.
The team of 32 swimmers competed in 177 individual events, and we certainly left our mark on the meet..

 

Here’s what we took home:

 

•  14 GOLD medals – more than any other club
•  15 SILVER medals – more than any other club
•  12 BRONZE medals – more than any other club
•  32 placed positions – more than any other club
• And  more total medals than any other club

 

But the stats don’t stop there:

 

•  74% of all swims were personal bests
•  23 new or improved Kent Times, including 14 brand-new qualifying times 

 

The team spirit was off the charts with swimmers cheering, supporting, and celebrating each other at every turn. We were, without question, by far the best club in and out of the pool.

 

This was a fantastic start to the season, and a performance that should set the tone for everything to come. Let’s build on this momentum and carry the energy not only into the Fireworks Gala and the London Winter Championships next weekend, but beyond. The way the team is swimming, it’s shaping up to be an incredible season ahead.
