Welcome to Oldham Seals

Link Lane

Oldham Seals is a swimming family not just a swimming club. We are a friendly swimming club based at Oldham Leisure centre.

The link lane is a great way for young swimmers to progress whether this be after swimming lessons or alongside them.  Here at Oldham Seals link lane, swimmers will learn new skills like race starts, turns and underwater work, whilst also perfecting techniques and making our swimming as efficient as possible. We try and make these exercises as fun as possible to make each child’s experience enjoyable.  At Oldham Seals we open the door to the world of competitive swimming.

Our link lane sessions are currently held on a MONDAY evening at 6pm

Being part of a swimming club is a great way for young swimmers to take their swimming journey to the next level whilst also making friends for life.

A swimming club isn’t just about swimming up and down the pool, it is a place where we build friendships amongst swimmers, parents, helpers and committee members. We encourage all of our swimmers to take part in our sponsored events, which we do to raise money for our club and also have raised money to help with worldwide disasters such as what happened in the Ukraine.

We hold numerous social events from days out, to summer parties and presentation evenings where we present the awards from our interclub gala.

Prior to COVID and having time out of the pool, we had our swim camp booked, which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. This is something that we will look at getting rebooked in the near future.

Once your child is ready to join Oldham Seals as a full member, they can then swim with us 3 times a week if they wish, but if the individual prefers to just swim once a week that’s absolutely fine too!
