Oldham Seals Amature Swimming Club (OSASC) takes child protection and safeguarding very seriously and believes that the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility, particularly when it comes to protecting children from abuse. Everyone involved with OSASC, such as managers, administration, club officials, coaches, parents, friends, and the children themselves, has a responsibility towards safeguarding children.
OSASC's ethic is to promote positive interaction and engagement. It is also to promote the health and well-being of all swimmers by offering a caring and supportive environment.
If you have any concerns about the safety and well-being of any child in the Club or the behavior of any adults, please talk to the club’s welfare officer, who can be contacted at [email protected].
Further safeguarding information and the full safeguarding policy can be found on the ASA website (see below). The service is provided for anyone involved in swimming, including children and young people who believe that the welfare of a child is at risk. This could be neglect or abuse, bullying or harassment, or anything that is worrying you and you don’t know who to discuss it with.
