Swimming Lessons with Norwich Swan Swimming Club
Norwich Swan Swimming Club offers high quality swimming lessons at a variety of pools in and around the Norwich area.
Our comprehensive Learn to Swim programme takes swimmers from absolute beginners and gives them opportunity to progress to County, Regional and National standard within the Club.
The Club operates the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme which is the leading national teaching syllabus for delivering safe, inclusive and effective swimming lessons for all ages.
The structured and progressive content aims to develop confident and able swimmers with a focus on having fun and enjoying being in the water. Our Learn to Swim programme provides motivation and support for children at every level, from their first splash to gaining their enhanced aquatic skills.
All teachers are Swim England qualified and have Swim England Safeguarding in Aquatics training and DBS advanced checks in place.
Our group swimming lessons are suitable for children from four years old. Lessons are once a week and 30 minutes long.
Progression
Swim England recommends that children don’t just stop going to swimming lessons once they can swim, increasing their competence in the water helps to make sure they can keep themselves safe.
After completing "Learn to Swim" stage 5 swimmers progress to Cygnet Squad sessions where technique and skills are developed further for stages 6 and 7 with opportunities given to try swimming competitively. Cygnet squad will give them a solid base to help them enjoy swimming and swimming related activities throughout their life
Swimmers can then progress through our squad structure that caters for Swimmers of all aspirations and abilities: Either competing for the club in a range of Galas and taking part in Open Meets and Championships at County, Regional, and National level, or alternatively we can also offer a pathway for swimmers who want to train for fitness in a structured session but do not wish to compete.

When joining our lessons your swimmer is required to become a member of Norwich Swan Swimming Club. Included within this is membership of Swim England who provide insurance provision for all members. The Norwich Swan annual club membership fee is £20 per swimmer in our Learn to Swim programme.
