What we offer

Norwich Swan Swimming Club runs a comprehensive, Learn to Swim programme that takes swimmers from absolute beginners and gives them opportunity to progress to Regional and National standard within the Club. 

The Club operates the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme which is the leading national teaching syllabus for delivering safe, inclusive and effective swimming lessons for all ages.

The structured and progressive content aims to develop confident and able swimmers with a focus on having fun and enjoying being in the water.  The Programme provides motivation and support for children at every level, from their first splash to gaining their enhanced aquatic skills.

All teachers are Swim England qualified and have Child Safeguarding training and DBS checks in place.

Our group swimming lessons are suitable for children from four years old.

Norwich Swan swimming lessons cost £25 a month payable through our monthly online billing system. (For any billing queries please contact [email protected]) 

Lessons are once a week and 30 minutes long.

Progression

Swim England recommends that children don’t just stop going to lessons once they can swim, increasing their competence in the water helps to make sure they can keep themselves safe. 

After completing "Learn to Swim" stage 5 swimmers progress to Cygnet Squad sessions where technique and skills are developed further for stages 6 and 7 with opportunities given to try swimming competitively.  Cygnet squad will give them a solid base to help them enjoy swimming and swimming related activities throughout their life

Swimmers can then progress through our squad structure that caters for Swimmers of all aspirations and abilities: Either competing for the club in a range of Galas and taking part in Open Meets and Championships at County, Regional, and National level, or alternatively we can also offer a pathway for swimmers who want to train for fitness in a structured session but do not wish to compete.
