Staines Swimming Club is a not-for-profit organisation with a passion for the sport and life skills not just for financial gain. All income from the lessons goes straight back into providing the best swimming provision in our area.
We have a private teaching pool in the grounds of Matthew Arnold School, Kingston Road, Staines-upon-Thames, TW18 1PF. We are very proud of the success of our Learn to Swim programme.
Our teachers are all qualified Level 2 Swim England teachers and assisted by either Level 1 teachers or pool helpers. As a Club we encourage our senior competitive swimmers to move into teaching as we have found their passion for swimming translates well into teaching their younger peers.
Our teachers are in the water for our beginner (white) level. We run small classes with a maximum of 6 learners in our beginner (white) level increasing to 8 in our red level.

- Yellow Hats
- Orange Hats
- Red Hats
Swimmers will then move into our Black Hats and start their swimming journey into our main pool programme which caters for both those looking to get into competitive swimming and those looking for just fitness swimming.
Crash Courses
We offer crash courses usually in the Easter School holidays and August holidays. Details of these will be posted on our social media pages.
