WELCOME TO SOUTHPORT SWIMMING CLUB

Southport Swimming Club is a local community swimming club in the North West of England, with International, National, Regional, County and Local Swimming Champions. The Club has a rich history of sucess dating back to 1878, when the Club was first formed. 

Southport Swimming Club includes Juniors, Seniors, Masters and A, B, C Squad Swimmers. The Club also has a group of Triathlon Swimmers who train alongside our A Squad Swimmers. Among the Masters Group we have a mix of Open Water Swimmers, Tri-Athletes, Competitive Swimmers and those who wish to keep fit. Southport Swimming Club also has a Water Polo Group which compete in the Liverpool & District League. We are always open and welcoming to those interested in Adut Swimming and Water Polo, no matter your experience or capabilities. 

We actively seek out Swimmers aged 7 years+ who are able to swim at least 50m on backstroke, breaststroke and front-crawl, to join our Juniors and then progress through the Squad system. 

We have a dedicated team of Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) approved and accredited Swimming Coaches working with all age groups and ablities. As a Swimming Club, it is our goal to help every swimmer reach their full potential and achieve their personal goals in the sport of swimming. 

SWIM ENGLAND AFFILIATED CLUB

Swim England is the national governing body for swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and water polo, and supports all clubs to ensure they are sustainable and fit for purpose. 

The Swim England Club Affiliation process sets a minimum standard for it's affiliated clubs in a bid to show they have the highest standards of safe and effective practices in place. This is reviewed, assessed and awrded on an annual basis. Evidence includes having a Club Constitution, Club Business Plan, Safeguarding Compliance, Risk Assessments, Continuous Professional Development and a Club Personnel Report. 

Southport Swimming Club is a Stronger Affiliated Club and SwimMark accredited through Swim England.
