Southport Finish 4th in Top Overall Girls Team Award at the National Age Group Championships

Pictured above is some of the successful Southport swimmers who competed at the National swimming Championships in the summer. The girls team finished 4th in the top over all team award. With the girls 14 and under 4 x 100m front crawl team taking the gold medal in a very exciting race. Emma Whittingham led off with 59.3 next went Niamh Wilgar with 60.03 then Ella Johnson with 63.00 and doing the anchor leg was Holly Hibbott with 56.8. Coach Mark said this is one of the greatest moments in the clubs modern times. Taking on all the big city teams, made up of swimmers fed from numerous clubs to come out on top is an outstanding achievement by the four girls.
