Commonwealth Games 2022

Southport Swimming Club want to congratulate their home-grown swimmer Holly Hibbott, who has been selected to compete in this year's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Make sure you watch and cheer her on in the women's 200m butterfly. Also competing at the commonwealth games is Lewis Burras who has been a long-term member of Southport Swimming Club in his age group and youth years, before going to train in the USA. Lewis is one of the fastest 50m and 100m freestyle swimmers in the world this year.

Holly has already won medals at the last Commonwealth Games in Australia to add to her extensive collection of worldwide medals.

Holly competes in the heats of her event on Monday 2^nd August with Lewis competing in his heats Sunday 31^st July and Tuesday 2^nd August. So make sure you cheer them on.
