Our annual Club Championships are always a highlight in the calendar – and this year was no exception. As a club run entirely by its members, this event is a true showcase of the commitment, enthusiasm, and team spirit that lies at the heart of Stowmarket Swimming Club.
Across six action-packed sessions, we ran a full programme of events featuring over 150 swimmers – from our youngest at just four years old to our most experienced squad members. Every length swum and every personal best achieved was a testament to the dedication our swimmers have shown throughout the year.
But events like this don’t happen by magic. They require planning, teamwork, and the full support of the Stowmarket Swimming Club community.
Following a heartfelt plea for help, a number of much-appreciated parents stepped up to volunteer – many taking to the stopwatches for the first time to help ensure the event could be properly licensed.
A huge thank you goes out to every single volunteer. Your generosity is truly appreciated. Without your time and effort, this celebration of our swimmers’ progress and achievements simply would not have been possible. Thank you.
As a community-based club, we’re proud that our Club Championships reflect everything we stand for: inclusivity, support, and shared achievement.
One of the most heart-warming moments of the weekend was our SEN race, celebrating the incredible swimmers from our Sunday morning SEN group. This session was led by the phenomenal Jess supported by her fantastic team of poolside helpers. The race was a powerful reminder that swimming is for everyone — and that at our club, every swimmer is given the chance to shine.
Congratulations to all our swimmers – and thank you to our entire club family for making the 2025 Club Championships such a fantastic success.
