CLUB PRESIDENT

 

EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF THE CLUB

Lee Chard

CHAIRPERSON

The club chairperson is the principal officer for the club and is elected by the club members. 

The Chairpersons role is to provide direction and leadership to the club, dealing with issues as and when they arise. 

  • To chair meetings; setting the agenda to support the development of the club. 
  • To oversee decisions made by the management, sub committees, officers and other club personnel. 
  • To prepare and present the annual report in conjunction with the Secretary (if necessary). 
  • To help ensure the correct and smooth running of all aspects of the club in accordance with its rules, constitution and by-laws and also Swim England law and UK law

 

Martin Dodge                                                                                VICE-CHAIRPERSON
   My role is to assist the Chaiperson and the Executive Committee with 

conducting their administrative tasks.

CLUB SECRETARY 

My role as Club Secretary is to provide the central point of administration, information and communication. I deal with all correspondence and communications, and I support the smooth running of club.  I am also a link between members, potential members and external organisations e.g. pool operators, local authorities, and the ASA Regions.

 

Becky Hillman

TREASURER

I am a qualified accountant, with many years experience of working with Charities in the not-for-profit sector.

In my role as Club Treasurer I am responsible for managing the club’s accounts and finances, and reporting back to the Club Chairperson. This role includes being responsible for all income and expenditure for the club, collecting monthly squad fees and paying suppliers.

Roisin McKie

WELFARE OFFICER

With a background in primary school teaching, I make sure everyone feels safe and supported within the club. I co-ordinate a team of safeguarding trained individuals who support coaches and swimmers at most sessions. I help to put safeguarding policies into action, work with coaches and parents, and make sure the swimming environment is welcoming, inclusive and fun for all.

Becki White 

MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY

My role as Membership Secretary involves making sure that all new swimmers/parents receive, complete and return relevant paperwork for welfare and fees purposes.  I ensure that all swimmers/coaches/volunteers are registered with the ASA at the correct level for their commitment to the club.

 

Danielle Dodge

COMPETITION SECRETARY

As Competition Secretary, I am responsible for handling all entries to the various open meets our swimmers compete in.  I work alongside Head Coach Paul Perry to plan a programme of meets over the year that will be most suited to our swimmers.  I also handle the entries for County and Regional competitions. 

In addition I organise the clubs entries into team competitions and galas: Four Seasons galas, Cotswold League and Arena League.

I am also responsible for ensuring we have enough officials attending each meet so the competitions can be supported.

 

Mel Sica

SWIMMARK COORDINATOR

As the SwimMark Coordinator I am the key point of contact for SwimMark, Swim England’s recognised kite-mark for the development of effective, ethical and sustainable clubs.

PARENT LIAISON OFFICER

As the Club Parent Liaison Officer I act as the key link between the club and the parents. My role is to promote clear and effective club communication channels and ensure you, the parents feel supported and have someone to go to should you have any questions or concerns. 

 

Shimi Banerjee

FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR

As Fundraising coordinator, I provide a central point of contact for fundraising queries and take the lead on developing opportunities for accessing grants and funding.  I am also liaising with local businesses with the aim to recruit sponsors for the club.

Lead Team Manager
My role is to co-ordinate, Team Managers, Coaches, Parents and Swimmers prior to swimming meets and galas. I am responsible for ensuring meets are suitably supervised by team members holding the correct qualifications and Welfare & Safegaurding training / DBS checks.
