Not for Profit

LSC is a 'not for profit' organisation with a committee comprised of volunteer parents. We have a full time Head Coach, Stuart McCrea, who is supported by a coaching team that are motivated, enthusiastic and experts in their field, delivering a progressive coaching programme from Leatherhead Swimming Academy through to our National Squad.

LSC Home Training Location

LSC is based at Leatherhead Leisure Centre (LLC) Guildford Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 9BL and also trains at a number of local locations.

Leatherhead Swim Academy is part of LSC and runs on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at St. John's School, Epsom Rd, Leatherhead KT22 8SP.  See the Swim Academy page for further information.

Training Hours

Younger swimmers are offered the opportunity to train between 1 and 6.5 hours per week, depending on their age and ability. The emphasis is on technique, development of all-round skills and aerobic fitness. All of the training and development programme is in line with the Amateur Swimming Association’s Long Term Athlete Development plan and Swim 21. Elite swimmers are offered the opportunity to train up to 15.5 hours per week.

LSC Swim Trials

Potential new joiners are offered a free Swim Trial, for about 20 to 30 minutes. This free trial is designed to assess technique for all 4 strokes and stamina, which helps to determine which LSC Squad would initially best suit the potential swimmer.

For all Swim trial & /or Membership enquiries please contact the Membership Secretary via the Joining Enquiry Form or via [email protected]
