Andy Wright was Stowmarket's only competitor at Sundays East Region Masters Championships with most of the other Stowmarket masters swimming at Sheffield at the end of the month. Wiggy was 1st in the 800m front crawl beating Len Phoenix's 65-69 years Stowmarket Masters record by 41 seconds. He came 1st in the 200m backstroke, 2nd in the 50m backstroke and 3rd in the 200m breaststroke with a season's best time.

On Sunday there were hundreds of swimmers competing in the SwimAlton 10k, 5k, 2 mile, 1 mile and half mile races at Alton Water, Stutton, Suffolk. Together with 54 other swimmers Stowmarket's Kim Lynch, Peter Lynch and Andy Wright all swam in the 2 mile distance. Huge Congratulations to Jake, he has qualified for British Championships & English National Championships. After a fabulous swim to win the 200m Butterfly at the East Region Championships, Jake's time was one of the fastest 28 swimmers in Britain in the 13-14 years age band and one of only three 13 year olds.
