With Holly Hibbott just returning from international duty, competing for GB in the Flanders Cup In Belgium – Southport Swimming Club got the great news that the swimmer, following In Hollys footsteps and still only 12 until later this month ABBY JONES has been called up to swim for England at the Energy Standard International MEET in Moscow, Russia on the 2nd and 3rd of May later this year. Governing Bodies Recognised Southport Swimmers British Swimming, Swim North West and Lancashire County have recognised a number of Southport Swimming Club selecting them at various levels of the pathway structure. At the Sefton Sports Awards presentation evening on Wednesday 8th July, held at the New Theatre the club came away with two prestigious awards. The first was the Girls 14 and under 4 x 100m freestyle team who won the National Championships in 2014 being named Seftons Top Team. The team consisting of Emma Whittingham, Niamh Wilgar, Ella Johnson and Holly Hibbott. Next up was Seftons Sports Personality of the year award.
