Main Club Championships Our main Club Championships took place on Saturday 28th June. Swum over a short-course distance at Wycombe Leisure Centre, we were joined by swimmers from Chesham and Henley Swimming Clubs. There were over 65 swimmers (48 from Bourne End) racing over the full range of events with many personal bests and competitive heats. Well done to our 17 swimmers who took part in the Wycombe End of Season Meet at Wycombe Leisure Centre on the 19th-20th July. There were some really strong swims from new and experienced swimmers. Our annual Awards event was held on Sunday 6th July where we celebrated our swimmers and their achievements for the 2024/25 season. We’ve had a great year with lots of individual achievements and this event highlights some of the stand-out performances of the year as well as those swimmers who have worked extra hard in training or made significant progress over the season. Bourne End had a successful day out at the Tilehurst Open Meet on Sunday 18th May. A team of 23 swimmers took part in the racing over the three sessions with some very impressive performances, lots of personal bests and, importantly, plenty of team spirit. ONB County Championships 2025 Bourne End had a very successful County Championships 2025. The racing took place over five weekends in January and February. We were represented by boys and girls relay teams plus seven swimmers who qualified for individual events this year. Relays This year, for the first time in a number of years, we entered teams for the 10-12 and 13/14 age group relays. The races took place at Leys swimming pool in Oxford. Last weekend was a very positive weekend for Bourne End and our swimmers who competed at the BBATT Main Meet held at Aquavale in Aylesbury. There were 30 swimmers representing the club over the four sessions with ages ranging from 9 to 18 years. Some were taking part in their first ever races and others looking to achieve consideration times for the ONB County Championships 2025. A small team of six swimmers from Bourne End took part in the BBATT Long Distance meet at Aquavale on Sunday, competing in either 400 IM or 400 Freestyle. Jacob Cooke and Hollie Roberts had strong swims in the 400 IM – both of them swimming the event for the first time. Bourne End had a very successful weekend at our Long Course Club Championships. Swimming alongside Wycombe District Swimming Club, we had 36 swimmers taking part over six sessions.
