We are hosting a Masters Development Day on Saturday 23rd September, intended for Masters swimmers of all ages and abilities. This will take the form of a full day's workshop covering various topics such as Strength and Conditioning training, injury prevention, psychological skills, endurance/distance training and a technique session. Sixteen Derby Excel swimmers competed at British Nationals last week, at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. This was our first National event since the merger of Derventio Excel and City of Derby in April. There were many outstanding swims and 5 new Derbyshire county records over the course of the meet, as the team finished with 3 gold medals, 2 silver and a bronze.
