I was born to swim!
My first breath was in the water as a pool birth baby and I haven’t stopped swimming since.
After swimming in a couple of different Learn to swim schools - I started competitive swimming with Nomads at the age of 8 and over my years I’ve had the privilege to swim and learn to teach from some of the best coaches British swimming has to offer and competed at a regional level. As a swimmer I still swim & compete with Nomads Masters Squad and will also pull on a wet suit and go open water swimming too.
My swimming journey hasn’t been easy and I’ve suffered major injuries and set backs along the way, but each time it’s made me more determined to swim faster and teach better.
I am a fully qualified level 1 and level 2 Swim England Teacher and a RLSS qualified lifeguard. You may see me poolside teaching or in a supporting role as a lifeguard - either way helping your children stay safe, learn this incredible sport, to swim fast and enjoy their swimming

I have been teaching and coaching swimming for Just over 20 years now and like most of you, started when my daughter began swimming lessons. After the lessons we moved to a swimming club and I became a volunteer helping out at galas. I then became an official passing my Judge Level 1 and 2 and then a Starter. I also took the first part of the Referee's course, but realised my heart was not in the official side of swimming - I really wanted to teach and coach young swimmers. I then took necessary steps to achieve qualifications to do this. My daughter was swimming at the City of Southampton Swimming Club and after we had been there about a year I was asked to take over their Learn to Swim.

I have been coaching swimming for about 3 years.

My journey started when I was very young; I’m told that my dad literally chucked me in a pool when I was 6 months old and I’ve been swimming ever since! It also makes sense that my star sign is Pisces!

My love of the water has developed over the years, from swimming in a competitive club to purely participating for pleasure. The one thing I am really passionate about is sharing my love for the sport. Over 7 years ago I qualified as a swimming teacher and I haven’t looked back. I have taught all stages of swimming and gain great satisfaction from watching swimmers become confident and competent in the water. This passion is now further enhanced by coaching competitive swimmers.
