Training

| Age | 11-14 (15 considered based on coach discretion) |
| Focus | Ongoing developmental training to maximise every individual’s performance. Training will be tailored to each individual throughout the season to get full benefit of being in the squad. IM Based training- swimmers should be still swimming multiple events and distances. |
| Entry | From Dev 2 or county Minimum county finalist/regional qualifier Highest training and performance standards. Swimmers aiming for regional finals and above. Coach discretion based on attendance, training and performance standards |
| Training Sessions | 5 PM sessions and 3 AM session per week, + Land training (LT) |
| Attendance | Mandatory 4 sessions per week Please note the min attendance does not guarantee a place. Where the squad is full, places will be based on attendance and commitment to training. (coach’s discretion) |
| Exit | To Performance 1, performance 2 or county. |

Mandatory for training sessions are
- Drink - bottle with water
- Kickboard - Example: MARU Kickboard, with handles
- Pull Buoy - Example: MARU Junior Pullbuoy or Senior Pullbuoy
- Short Fins - Example: MARU Rubber Short Fins
- Snorkel - Example: Finis Junior Front Snorkel
- Hand paddles (with straps) - Example: Synergy or TYR
- Parachute - Example: Decathlon NABAIJI 900 swimming parachute
- Skipping Rope - Example: Fitlit adjustable skipping rope
Optional
- Heart Rate Monitor - Polar Verity Sense
