Swim England Hertfordshire County Championships 2026

Swim England Hertfordshire have released the conditions, schedule and qualifying/consideration times for Herts County Championships which will take place in January and February 2026.

Key Documents

The latest versions should always be available on the County Website

To help parents we have also prepared this document Information for Competitors and Parents 2026

Venue

The Championships will be held at Westminster Lodge pool meaning the events are scheduled to suit swimmers who want to enter multiple events.

Age groups

For 2026 there will be no 16 year old age group and this has been included in the oldest age category. However a higher number of entrants will be accepted into the 16 & older age category if they achieve the consideration times.

Qualifying and Consideration Times

These broadly remain the same however some QT and CTs have been reduced due to the higher standards achieved. These times are highlighted in blue on the QT/CT sheet. If you want to see how your swimmer is progressing with regards to the qualifying times, read our guide on Time Standards OnDeck and get in touch if there are any difficulties

Age as at 31 December 2026

Please remember that a swimmer's age for County Championships is age as at 31st December 2026 (e.g. if you are born in 2014, your age group will be the 12 year age group). Times must have been achieved at a licensed meet between 17th May and 8th December 2025.

Calendar Items

Each County Championship event can be found on our event calendar on our website  https://uk.gomotionapp.com/team/costa/page/events#/team-events/upcoming and OnDeck app. Each of these should also contain the relevant documents.

Session Timings

Swim Herts will publish warm-up times and start times for each session. These are "no earlier than" times and they may change depending on how the event runs. Please check the live feed and look at the results to understand if your warm up time may be later.
