Kent Distance and EDSC Masters Gala On Sunday 19th May a team of eleven Masters swimmers headed to Crook Log Leisure Centre for the Kent County Masters Distance Championship and EDSC sprints event. Ojays crowned Tudor League Champions 2024 Beckenham Spa was once again the venue as we hosted the final round of this year’s Tudor League. What an amazing night of racing our team of thirty-two swimmers had. We finished the night with a whopping 298 gala points, 45 points ahead of our nearest rivals Erith & District. Orpington Ojays V Tonbridge SC Dual Friday 10th March. It was a victory for our team of fifty-five swimmers who were selected to compete against Tonbridge SC for the inaugural Dual, a head-to-head gala between the two clubs. Tonbridge played hosts at their home pool, and it proved to be a fantastic night of fast and furious racing from both teams. London Summer Championships 2024 The iconic London Aquatic Centre was the venue for this years London Summer Championships, spread over two weekends in April and May. We had twenty-one swimmers qualify for individual events and sent eleven relay teams. Daisy had a fantastic championship retaining her 50m freestyle crown and taking the gold medal by 0.10 of a second. Well done to our Tudor League team last night at Beckenham Spa! After a closely fought contest with Bexley just a couple of points behind us throughout the gala and Erith chasing in third place, Bexley took the lead towards the end. With a number of brilliant swims behind us going into the penultimate race (8 firsts and 14 second places), we took 2nd in the open freestyle relay just ahead of Bexley to narrow the gap to just 6 points. In the News... County Championships 2024 The final weekend of the 2024 Championship was at the London Aquatic Centre on the 9th & 10th March. This weekend had our biggest number of entries, with 33 swimmers competing in 70 individual events. What a fantastic end to the Championship it was too. There were medals and finals galore. Orpington Ojays & Erith Spring Meet 2024 2nd and 3rd March. Eighty-three swimmers headed to Crook Log Leisure Centre for our annual open gala with Erith & District Swimming Club. What a truly amazing weekend of racing they all had. Kent Junior League Round 3 On Saturday 24th September we took 32 of our younger swimmers to Crook Log for the final round of the league. In this last round we were swimming against teams who were placed eight to fourteen from the first two rounds.
